Klasse SG as a quick detailer question

First off...I just want to say THANKS to EVERYONE on here. I've been reading and reading and reading...before I did my first detail. I had a little trouble with Klasse SG because I used too much. I read you only need a little but didn't realize how little...but quickly learned towards the end of the detail.

Anyhow...my cars looks freakin awesome thanks to everyone on here.

Now to the question. I've read on here but can't find the thread again, about some using Klasse SG as a quick detailer bw washes.

What is the Klasse SG and water Ratio do you guys use to make a quick detailer bw washes or as a spritz after each wash?

Thanks again everyone.

I see what about for after each wash. Or should I just go with Sonus Acrylic Glanz.

yes it will be great after a wash

a true "QD" will have some lube and cleaning this will not

but after a wash is will be great to boost the sealant

I'd go with the Sonus.

Good to hear that you got the hang of SG in your first try with it. A lot of people overload it, and then they are in for some fun.

BTW, Welcome! Glad you found us "crazies."

3:1 distilled water:SG is the ratio that a lot of folks here on Autopia (myself included) have used successfully as a cheap spray sealant.

It works well enough - but I finally stopped using it in favor of Duragloss Aqua Wax because AW is so reasonably priced and looks a lot better than the home brew SG spray sealant IMO.

SG is not water soluble
Yes, it is. As Milestones said in his post, you can dilute SG with water to make a spray "booster" for SG. I've also mixed about an ounce of AIO with water in a pint sprayer; it makes a passable QD. When diluted this way, AIO is still strong enough to have some effect (better cleaning than just water, leaves slickness behind), but isn't strong enough to damage the SG layer.

you guys are freakin awesome....thanx... I'll try the 3:1 with SG this weekend after a wash. I'll let you guys know how it works out.

once again thanx

I go with 1part KSG to 6 parts water.

It makes a great booster, but it's definitely only for use immediately after a wash.

The KSG/Water has no 'slickness', so I'm sure that you would mar the surface if you use it on even a mildly dirty surface.

That restriction aside, it's a very simple way of giving the car a 'just detailed' look, and improving the protection, in only about 10 additional minutes.

I prefer to spray the mixture onto a microfiber/foam applicator, wipe on, and then wipe off immediately.

I've been following this routine for about 3 years now, and it works great for me.
