Klasse SG 1st use

Well, I got my order from AUTOGEEK yesterday and I was wanting to give the Klasse AIO/Sealant Glaze combo a try, but it was raining in the morning and I work nights, so I had to sleep. :(

This morning after work, I chugged an extra large coffee and went to town on the car. After the requisite wash, I used the AIO on a (heavy) polishing pad at about 4.5 on the PC. I rubbed it in like you would a compound trying to get rid of some nasty swirls, buffing until the AIO was almost gone. I have single-stage paint and I clogged up two pads on my little Suzuki Aerio.

After wiping off the residue with a mf, I went to the SG. After reading all the tips I could find, I decided to go as simply as possible: damp applicator and SMALL amounts of SG. Of course on the first panel, the terry covered foam applicator was too damp and I used a bit too much SG...I see what you mean this stuff can bite you if you're not paying attention. Using the "like dissolves like" theory, I applied the SG again in a smaller area and immediately buffed it off, success!

I went around the car, a half panel at a time and eventually the pad dried out some and had built up some SG in it, so I was literally only using 3-4 DROPS of SG for each panel section. It went on super thin and buffed off easily with a mf towel. After finishing the car, I went inside to rest my eyes from staring at the car for a couple of hours and get something cold to drink. When I went back outside, I was like :rockon :yay The paint is extremely glossy and swirl free. It looks like a brand new car (without the dealer-installed swirls) and without 136,000 mile on the clock. It actually looks like it was just sprayed and if you touch it, you'll get red paint on your fingers.

I know, I know, "THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS," but I don't have a camera. Let's just say it looks just like the cars on the bottles.

:bigups for the Klasse twins!

Don,

It's great to hear that your first use of the Klasse twins went well. Now if you want to see extreme gloss try applying 1-2 more layer of the KSG. I find that 3 is my perfect number. "The car seems to almost glows even when dirty" - A quote from my wife.

Agreed, adding more coats of KSG (up to about 3) will really amp the shine.

I just came back from vacation, was gone for a week. It was nice everyday, but rained like crazy every night...that's OK though, because just being rained on washed off all the dirt and bugs collected on the 490 mile trip. I was also able to put on a second coat of SG while on vacation (yes the rest of the family laughed at me for taking "car wax" on vacation). After wiping the car down, I found out that the 2nd coat went on super easy and removed like a dream, and yes, the car looked even better after two coats.
