klasse sealant glaze /trouble buffing off???

There is no cure!
today i clayed the car, did ssr1 on orange cutting pad on speed 5. applied klasse SG via pc. only one thing. i wasnt expecting it to be sooo watery.

i had a ton of work trying to buff it off. in the end i sprayed mother qd on a micro fiber and proceeded to wipe. then id have to get a dry microfiber to wifer off what was a mixture of the SG and the qd. will this have any negative effect on the protection and shine i could've gotten?

oh and can anyone please give me there way of applying SG and buffing it off.


the SG got so hard that multiple passes wouldnt take it off. i spent 80minutes buffing it off.
 
Extremely thin; you should barely be able to see the product. It has worked well for me to put a MF towel folded into quarters under a cutting pad (because it is so stiff) and remove via PC on speed 4. Once the majority of residue is removed, I use a couple of MF bonnets and go over the entire car. Using that method I can have SG removed fairly quickly.
 
I do SG all by hand with either a foam pad or microfiber pad and buffer off with a MF. THIN THIN THIN
 
As has been said, THIN, THIN, THIN! and a cool, well polished surface!

If you apply it thin, you will have NO problem. Do not overload the applicator. This is important! I do not know how much I actually use. It must be around 1/2 ounce per application. The better the paint prep- the less SG needed to do the job. A PC application will take more. Make sure your is damp with water or a QD.

SG goes on so fast with a slightly damp MF, and comes off even faster for me. I applied and removed SG to a minivan Friday in about 30 minutes excluding the roof and windows. Just walked around and applied. Buffed off with a quality MF. I used 4* UPC to clean the paint that was already in very good condition after a quick clay.

It may take a couple of rounds with SG before you get the knack. When you do, it will be rewarding.

I've been applying and buffing off SG according the instructions I got from Autopia almost 4 years ago. I apply it with a dry microfiber applicator in incredibly thin layers. I let it dry for 45 minutes while I dress the tires or something like that. To remove it I use a damp microfiber towel in one hand and a dry one in the other. The wet towel helps wipe the SG off and then dry one cleans up any streaks. Walk around the car with some QD and a dry microfiber to make sure I haven't missed anything after I am done. I've never had a problem doing it that way. There are short cuts you can take I guess to make it easier, but I am a firm believer in letting the product dry for 45 minutes before buffing it off. Detailing isn't supposed to be a fast project. Its something that you need to take your time on. If you rush through it then you get a rushed job. To detail properly you need the three 'P's. PROCESS, PRODUCTS, and PATIENCE. Don't start without all three.

I used a terry towel wet and wrung out and applied a drop at a time and wiped it off before it dried, wowo method. It came out perfect and very easy.
 
I gave up on SG after I had it haze up a day AFTER I removed it. I not just talking about a couple of spots that I could have missed. I'm talking about the whole car. Hopefully your experience will be better. :dunno

I use either Wolfgang DGS or UPP now.
