Klasse cover

I've read on here that people put a carnuba over Klasse to give it more shine and depth. The only Carnuba's I have here are Mothers California Gold and Meguiars Gold Class. Would these be ok to topcoat with? And which of the two would be better?

That's why I bought Klasse and used it, but I'd like to try the carnuba over it and don't want to buy something else.

mothers and meguairs aren't horrible. They're significantly better then turtle wax and other store brands, but they aren't as good as P21S/S100

I use the mothers wax I have left over from when I first got hooked on having a clean car and I top it on my klasse layers every once in a while. It helps some, but since i have a white car depth is still quite elusive for me

Well, I just applied mothers, I'll see what it looks like after I buff it out. If the weather holds out I'll try the megs like you suggested. It's terrible not having a garage! Thanks for the imputs!

I think Megs GC has some cleaners/solvents in in that might remove the klasse. Whatever wax you use, max sure it is not a cleaner wax and has no abrasives or high solvent content. Best to stick with a paste wax as it has fewer solvents.

Mother's and Meguiars both make great waxes.

Don't buy into the boutique wax hype.

What makes a car look good is the proper paint prep. If you prep the paint well, it doesn't matter what wax you use, even the cheapest turtle wax, it will look good.

In fact, I would even challenge that it would take an expert (i.e. very few people) to be able to differentiate between two cars that have been prepped well and topped with different waxes.

If you want to top Klasse, I would make sure that you are using a non-cleaner wax.

I tried the Mothers and the shine and depth came out awesome! I think everytime I Klasse I'll top with carnuba!
