Klasse AIO with Maguires #26

Board newbie and novice to professional products (previous purchaser of one step products from the local store shelves).

I plan on cleaning up my daughter's 2000 silver Honda Accord in the next couple days and just wanted an opinion on the combination I've decided to use.

I plan to clay the car first (needs it bad) with Clay Magic Bar - first time ever using a clay bar but I'm excited over the probable improvement in surface smoothness and eventual shine I'm going to get.

Wash again and follow up with 2 coats of Klasse AIO (two coats to insure I cover it adequately)

Topped with coat of Maguires #26 (multiple coats??)

I've always had great results with Maguires Gold Class but figured it had too many solvents (cleaners) in it to use over the AIO. Besides I also wanted to continue using wax rather than a synthetic solution. Maybe next time out I'll be a little more daring...

Might use the same above combinations on my wife's 2003 dark red Mustang and my black 2003 Mazda 6s

What do you think? I'd appreciate any suggestions for making this first venture into more professional detailing successful.

Thanks and great boards...

I have used the AIO and #26 combo myself on a friends car and its a nice combo IMO. It is a good first up to get your toes wet in detailing and they are both products that you wont throw away when you go over-board and spend a small fortune! ( you laugh but it will happen :) )

You may find that after this process, you may see the need for more involved paint correction with polishes and the like. From there, the detailing world will be your oyster!

Have fun with it.

I think that you will really like the AIO. I don't know that you will see a huge differance in the silver car, on the black and red it should be dramatic.

Welcome to Autopia.:welcome

Sounds good.

You may want to try the second coat of AIO on just one panel. See if it really adds improvement before doing the entire car.

Spend plenty of time with the clay. Use the baggie test to monitor your progress.

Have fun!
