Aniline leather is not as difficult to care for as you perhaps imagine. As long as good protectors are used and the leather is then cleaned on a regular basis with aniline cleaner the leather will last well and often much longer than pigment coated leather.
On a personal note I much prefer this type of leather to any other. Ihave a sofa that is over 25 years old that looks as good as the day it was bought with a little and regular cleaning.
Recolouring and restoration of these leathers with aniline dyes is also much easier than restoring pigment costing on leather and is a system that really cannot fail unlike the problems that sometimes happen with pigments.
Hope this helps
