Kind of a wierd question regarding getting a photobook made, any help would be super!

Todd@RUPES

Just a regular guy
I have a client who wants kind of a photo-scrap book of all of the photographs I took detailing his car, printed into kind of a picture book with captions (maybe 3 photo's per page).

Any websites that allow you to upload photos to a photobook kind of thing and have it custom printed? I am sure this would be expensive but the cost is kind of no object (seriously). I really wish I could hare this detail with you guys (and I will eventually) but first it has to win Pebble Beach, and that is not for another year.

Any help or suggestions would be awesome!

Thanks

Todd,

Check out Shutterfly.com. I made a photo book out of our family vacation photos this year and it turned out great. It wasn't that expensive either. You can select different layouts for the different pages, add text, etc.

Good luck.

If cost is no option then I would contact a graphic artist, have him design/print it, and then triple his cost to you for facilitating the deal. :D

I am friends with a really good graphic artist, web designer, and photographer. He has very fair pricing, and his attention to detail (and abilities to come up with creative art) are amazing.

I recently made a presentation on my detailing company to some investors and used him for some of my artwork and photograph work.

PM me if you would like his contact information.

*He has hosting abilities/services for this type of thing as well. :xyxthumbs

I know this might sound goofy but I've had some very nice ones done at CVS.

Inexpensive too. Well worth the look into. They use Kodak products as well.

Todd,

Alot of the photo places like Wolf Camera can make you a printed book, personally I've done it and it came out fine with the Online Loading/Page editing.

Since I'm a Mac Fan the simplest way I'd suggest would be the iPhoto photobooks, extremely easy to manage and arrange, and the quality is a step above what normal printers would do. Graphic artists could help as well.

$40 + Taxes/Shipping are what you're looking at for a 20 page book (40+ images if done right, back and front).

Good luck with Pebble Beach, would love to see a fellow Autopian win Concours.

There is a company called Mpix and they are an online retailer. They have everything from Basic to wedding album quality.

I believe Smugmug and Zenfolio are quite popular for this purpose. I have yet to use either but I may set up an account with one of the 2 at some point...

wow pebble beach BIG TIME

From what I understand about the Pebble Beach Concours, the average quality of work is vastly inferior to the work performed by Autopians. I don't know for certain as I don't have first hand experience, but I can tell you that of all the events and Concours I have attended personally, I have not seen one noteworthy vehicle in terms of a swirl-free and beautiful finish.

holden that is what I was thinking...I would put a couple of cars I have done in the contest...maybe this 1950 Merc I have coming up will be that car? hmmmm

Through iphoto on the mac's there is a really cool thing where you can make an entire layout photo book and send it to Apple and they produce the book for like 19.95 i believe. Would be perfect. If you have a Mac or know some1 that does and what to know how to do it...E-mail me
