Kevin Tetz' Extreme Detailing DVD

i don't know how kevin's detailing video is but i bought his videos on how to paint your car. he's a good painter and a pretty entertaining guy. can't vouch for the detailing tapes, but kevin's allright.

I find it amusing that some here think hands-on trial and error is better than an instructional DVD.

I started detailing by hiring Mike Phillips to detail two of my cars. Watching, asking questions and helping was invaluable. Later, I participated in a Detail Day at Meguiar's HQ. The time and money spent invested in learning correct techniques is well spent.

I have a copy of Mike Phillips' PC DVD from ShowCarGarage. That DVD is the next best thing to live in person instruction. I'd rather spend $25 on that DVD instead of buying more wax.

Hands on teaching is different than hands on learning. Hands on learning is where you teach yourself. Hands on teaching is where you have someone who knows what they are doind demonstrating and instucting you what to do so you can see the results yourself.

I apologize if anyone did not understand what I meant by hands on teaching.

Thank you for input. I guess I will have to be the guinea pig when it comes to his detailing DVD. Considering I already have ShowCar DVD Kevin's DVD will have to wait a little, supplies have priority.

If you buy it and get nothing, whats the worst that could happen? Your out the price of a good meal!

After 27 yrs detailing I still learn. One bases I use is a statement by a millionaire who said.." If I spend fifty dollars on a book and only find one sentence useful then I have made a profit."

I'm not a millionaire.

Hehehe. I would just rather spend more money on wax. . . . haha! Oh well . . .

If you are beginner (like I am) purchasing more wax will not help any improving the skillset. I will still be a beginner, just one with more incorrectly applied wax and less money in the pocket.

Not sure what your response was suppose to mean?? But I guess if you are on welfare you can still learn something :wall

It means I am not a millionaire. In other words: Weight of the purchase on the budget is much bigger for me than is for millionaire you are referencing. My budget is easier to exhaust than his. Due to that I need to be more carefull than him when spending $40. For him it might take one new thing to make it worth $40. For somebody else it better be worth it whole, period, cause for somebody else $40 might be the size of the house.

Wisdom bits of millionaires do not apply in the world majority of the people live in, especially not welfare persons. Otherwise feed them cakes.

Wisdom bits giving by succesful people are usually referring to the journey of success, not after.
