Been a week or so since my last C&B. I remember as I posted it thinking "man, what a great week - nice cars, most in good shape, easy to detail, good times..", well, I guess my good karma ran out, because this week has been rough. here she goes.

It started off quite docile, a one year old white VW GTI; moderate marring. No problem.

Here's a tip - watch what you wish for...

2003 M3 convertible. When I first saw it I thought "well that's not bad at all". It was bought recently from a used car dealer and looked to be in ok shape, low mileage - only 23k. So I washed and clayed then turned on the lights.

You can't see it, but the car had some stupid deep halograms. Not only that, but the hack that put them there didn't remove much of anything either. Awesomeness. This car was a nightmare to work on; it was worse than any corvette I've done. It did not want to let go of the marring, but it halo'd like no one's business...

I tried... HTHC/orange @1400-1800, no love.

HTEC/orange @ 1500-1800, bleh

yellow.... meh

PG/wool @ 1700... finally, some movement. But the halo's... good lord.

HTEC/wool @ 1800... success, a good compromise of removal and finish. Did the whole car.

Mercedes E320... I kind of knew it might be a long one. Started around 9:30, and here I am, at 10pm.

nice job. Did you have shade when using Mezerna or in the sun? I'm thinking shade but would like to know for sure. Thanks.

keep thinking good thoughts. things will change for the better. but damn nice work. and again nice photography.

Magnificent work as always. :bow

At least you have good weather to work in, regardless of the condition of the vehicles...21 days of rain in May, several so far in June here. :hairpull

My last fully dry weeks were in March.

Great work my man! I know how you feel on those bit$h jobs. I get atleast one or two a week. I thought I had an easy weekend with a couple of Harleys to detail, but now they are postponed to next week and I now have a 85 Vette Black (bad repaint) and a 20 foot white chaulky boat. The guy who owns the boat gets me tons of work so I have to do it for him. Boats are the absolute worst sometimes and it is in very rough condition. It's a real beating on the rotary. Sometimes I would rather be laying blocks all day long as it is easier with no heavy thinking and major stress.

It's good to see that you did not give up and gave it your best combo knockout! Impressed with all your hard work.

Absolutely amazing work, best of Autopia hands down! My personal favorite was the S4 with the RS4 wheels. Now that is what black is supposed to look like! Stunning.

I had shade. I generally require customers to have a garage or shaded area or bring the car to me.

Arhg. Yes, I guess I can't complain about the weather. It's hot but very clear. We had a tough May though. Hopefully it'll clear up for you guys soon. :woot2:

Masterful ... every one of them.:bow

I always enjoy the contrast in your photos between the wonderfully detailed cars and the gruff back alley backdrop ... very cool.
