Just washed my car with Pinnacle car wash...

Well since I sold my black G35 back in December, I hadn't used this car wash again on my new car until today. I forgot how much I like this car wash! I bought it from CMA upon recommendation for a carwash best suited for a black finish. This was suggested to me and I was completely satisfied with its performance. It has very high lubricity ( I think NXT wash is slightly more slick), sheets the water right off, and has great cleaning ability. It might be a tad bit harsh on a carnauba, but it seemed to have worked great with my month old WG sealant. If there is one downside to this wash, it's the price, but if you're only using it on your own car once a month or so, it's pretty reasonable. This wash is definitely one of my favorites.

Glad you found a wash that you like. Other than the cost and the way it *is* sorta hard on LSPs, I liked it too. It was my favorite before I switched to Griot's.

Yeah, based on Accumulator's warning about the LSP, especially Souveran, I'm passing on this wash. Via foam gun, the ratios could get a little unclear.

Accumulator,

What was your mix ratio with Pinnacle? 1 oz.:3 gallons of water yields a pH of 7.

Can't really say, it was a long time ago. But I tried different ratios and I sure didn't go over 1 oz:3 gallons (I use 6-gallon buckets), probably much weaker than that. IMO it's not just the PH level, but I'm no chemist. I was pretty surprised at how it seemed to really strip the Souveran, what with both of them being Pinnacle products and all...

I got so tired of it stripping/compromising my LSP that I started using Meg's (#62 and #00) for the daily drivers.

I still use the Pinnacle on the Jag from time to time, just for old-time's sake :D When I smell the Bodywork Shampoo my mind thinks "time to wash the Jag".

And then along came Griot's right? So do you also use the #00 and #62 for nostalgia now also?
