day1

Pressure washed (about 2hrs, at least)

Dawn Wash

Did the wheels w/ chrome cleaner

Did the door Jambs

Did the engine bay

Dawn Wash



day2

Scratch X in spots

Polished all headlight/ tail lenses w/ mother's mag+al cleaner

claybar entire jeep (mother's)

(fixed broken tie-rod end in the steering also)



day3

claybar hood and roof (again)

clayed windshiled with old clay

Dawn Wash (again)

did the interior, shampoo, clean, etc to take a break from the paint lol





needless to say, I am running out of steam on this project

On another note, I did recieve the Zaino I ordered in the mail today.



BTW, I have a problem, there are some water spots that are in the hood. Anyway to get these out WITHOUT a PC. I have scratchX, 3m FCRC, and Meg's Swirl R. 2.0

nice work man im gettin ready to go at my WJ with all the stuff i orderd from CMA get all the swirls out do engine bay then do AIO,S100 Then inside probley this weekend i will post alot of pics when im done though
 
by the way thats a Slick ZJ man i love it not to Ghetteo Off-road with bumbers lights etc Really nice Rims instead of crappy *** black steelies Nice overall nice nice
 
yep im a member there what do you recommend covering in the engine compartment when cleanign and degreaseing asking cause last time i did my dad silverado the alternator almost started on fire giving off little puffs of black smoke so i had to disconnect the battery and all what parts should i cover under the hood when cleaning
 
is your screen name like hidwj or something. I think you PM'ed me a couple times about wax and stuff at ju.



I just wait till the engine is pretty cool before detailing. I am also pretty careful about what I spray with water, so I do not cover anything.

For your waterspots try Meguiar's #9 first, then FCRC if that doesn't work or doesn't work fast enough. Just be sure to rub in the products thoroughly.
 
Heh, looks like my friend's mom's Tracker when she's done with it. My friend loves mud, so we find places on their land (180 acres) and just get it all muddy. Of course, her dad has a pressure washer so we get the great chores of cleaning it off.



You wouldn't think a lowly 2000 Tracker would be any good offroad, but it's awesome.
 
In the pics it looks like the plastic bumpers and side panels on the bottom of the doors have become faded. You may want to try some Mother's Back to Black on it, or some 303.
