Last summer I put on P21S and #26 on half of the roof and trunk or a dark red car, and had 3M Perfect-It Show Car Wax on the hood. On a White car did the same split on the roof and the hood of Meguiars #26 and P21S.
Then came the heat. Over 15 days of 100 Plus farenheit. Blast, it was hot. On the red car I was surprized that both the P21S and #26 were shot in a month. The Perfect - It Show Car Paste was still beading, and it had been put on 3 weeks earlier.
I would say that Meguiars puts on a very good deep shine. Perfect-It Paste and S100 have a brilliant shine -- Just like Blackfire.
On the white car both lasted 6 weeks.
Now in colder conditions, I've had both waxes last about 90 days. I wouldn't go longer than that.
My conclusion is that P21S/S100 and #26 last just about the same.
P21S recommends a new application every 6 weeks. This wax is incredible with a second coat.
The color looked identical using #26, or P21S, but the clarity of the reflections on the P21S side was better. The reflection is crisp, Meguiars was slightly muddled. I must emphasize that this difference could only be seen by a careful examination. 3M is also very crisp, and it was imposible to differentiate it with P21S or Blackfire.
But S100 is soooo easy to apply and remove. Perfect-It Show Car Paste is much easier than Meguiars, which is about the same as the Turtle Wax, Rain Dance Family.
Frankly I like them all. I currently have 1 can of P21S, 3 cans of S100 (wanted to keep using the old formula), 2 cans of 3M Perfect-It Paste which I use exclusively on my vertical panels, since it is more durable, and costs about 25% of the cost of P21S or Blackfire, and one can of Meguiars #26 Paste.
