No matter what you use, cotton towels, absorber, water bandit, do you use the same one on the body as on the wheels and tires? Or should I buy one just for the wheels and tires?

there's just too much risk of picking up some metal shavings/brake dust particles and trapping them in a towel. I actually don't bother drying the wheels, I take the car for a quick drive around the block, and that dries the wheels quick.

I have different towels for things like tires, and don't use them on the body of the car.

Your just asking for big trouble if you do so. My tires are the last thing to be washed with a different mitt. I also use Meguire's "Hot Rims" before wetting the car. It really makes a big difference in getting the rims clean, even the hard to reach places.

OK, thanks for the responses. I figured maybe it would be wise to use another towel for the wheels and tires and just wanted to make sure.

I use the Toro to blow dry them and then use an older but clean Terry Cloth to wipe them out with QD.

I have towels for paint, windows, wheels, tires, and engine.



I like MT's and 100% USA cotton towels for paint. I use Mf's, cheapo but clean terry towels, and newspaper for glass.



Then I use 100% cheap cotton towels (18 for $6) for the door jambs, engine, tires and wheels, they get thrown out after use.

What a world of difference between my PC and Makita 9227. However, I now know what you all have referring too when you create Holagram's:doh: Some advice, I created them using LC CCS white with M205. What do I do now to get rid of them?

M205 with LC Black and go little slower then before.:wizard:

Use the same combo or maybe M205/black pad and use slow, light pressure passes at about 1200. You may also want to dial up to 1200 then dial back down to about 900 for the final passes keeping those last few passes feather light.

Angelo posted while I was writing my reply and I would tend to agree with his recommendation of the black pad being better.
