Just got my "free" PC....questions

My friend just passed to me his old PC that he never really used. I just plugged it in the wall and it seems to work just fine. I googled PC and found that there are several different models. I looked to see if I could find 7424 on it anywhere, but I couldn't find anything. It does have a 6 variable speed on it.

The reason I am asking is because I have no idea how old it is and didn't know if it was an "outdated" version of the PC...... or are all of them bascially the same?

Thanks...another question. It came with some Meg pads with the velcro. I have been looking at autogeek for some more pads. The lake country 4" pads seem as if they do not have the velcro. Do I have to get a different backing plate for it or something?

the pads should have velcro

if you go 4" you will need a smaller BP

yes you will need a BP smaller than the pad

also 4" pads do cut alot faster but I am not sure you need them

they also take a little of the safty out of the PC because you can burn paint with them

what kind of car(s) will you be polishing?

maybe someone can tell you if your car "needs" them

I will be using my PC only for my personal vehicles. I plan on getting an Audi A6 as soon as my 4Runner gets sold. Should I buy a bigger pad then the 4" pads. I heard that Audi has a pretty hard coat so I didnt know if a 4" pad was a must.
