just finished crawling out of my hole.

hook, I'm afraid I sold out and went German. Have an '04 Audi A4 3.0 Quattro with Ultra Sports Package.

Wooo, cool. Where are the pics?

Does Snake ever come around here? Nice to see oldies from the States, The Great White North, Dear Ol Blighty and beyond.

Don't think so. He said he hasn't even had time to detail his own cars :scared

Said he's swamped with work (a good thiing, I suppose). But he and Rita did find time to go to the car show.

Looks great. But I think it needs a Carnauba topper. All these new Carnaubas have me wondering which way to go. Can anyone recommend a Carnauba for Audi's "Dolphin Grey"; which is like a medium grey?

You just missed a giveaway - Pinnacle Swirl Mark Remover, Advanced Swirl Mark Remover, and Liquid Souveran. I'm gonna give 'em a try on the Maxima.

blue skies,

Andrew

Andrew, since we're going down memory lane, I gotta tell ya', the picture of your black Maxima posted in Tim's site (way back when) detailed with AIO sealed the deal for me when it came time to decide on klasse.

It looked incredible. I'm sure it still does...

You know, I'd forgotten about those until someone I referred someone I met on another board to this place when he mentioned he'd bought a new car. Believe it or not, the pics are still HERE.:D

Anyway, I switched from AIO/SG to AIO/UPP. Did the Maxima with another layer of UPP last weekend (it has 3 now). Was walking out to the car with my wife (we'd driven "her" car, the Maxima) and it was in the sun and looked better than I've ever seen it. Much darker and deeper than before.

And it's hard to tell in the pics, but it's actually a very dark green, not black. They called it "Black Forest", I think, and unless you are close or the sun hits it right it looks mostly black.

Now I need to try your wipeon/wipeoff method for SG...it was the oily swirls that drove me away from it. But the UPP looks almost as good as the SG topped with Souveran...

blue skies,

Andrew

I saw your name in the shout box the other day and wondered about ya.

I wrote that....like two days before Beau signed back on! Timing is everything!

Welcome back Beau! Its been a while! I gotta admit, there has been a few times when I was out detailing my car and I have thought to myself "What Would Beau Do?" Or WWBD for short!

Welcome back!

:wavey

Hey Dale, nice to see you. Wizards quick detailer is still one of my favorite quick detailers. Plus, it smelled like bubblegum. I could smell it being used at the local Bimmer dealership, wafting from their service area. They carry it.

I have to say that even though I've read plenty of posts regarding problems with Sealant Glaze, I have never personally had any problem with it.

I know it's been said before, but I think the root of the problem is either humidity perhaps, or using too much product.

I apply it was a PC and remove by hand with Sonus Spritz and a quick detailer.
