I have both a Flex and a PC XP and love them both. What I've chosen to put in the GlossHaus kits was the PC XP, mainly because it is so easy for a beginner and can be used one-handed. The Flex has a lot more power, and I really love the variable speed trigger, but it requires a little more attention and both hands.
The first time you really go through the full process, it can be pretty daunting and time-consuming. Two things that really separate pros and amateurs in this game are process and skill to be very effective while completing the steps quickly (relatively speaking - for a concours car, the whole game is different).
Once you have the car at a good level, maintenance is a lot easier - fine polish, glazing and waxing don't require as much time or effort as the more aggressive polishing steps and all the prep to get a car ready for real correction. Shoot - half the time my M635 just gets a wax freshener and looks great.
