It works better for some people in that regard than it does for others.

It works extremely well in that regard for me.

I was always skeptical and it took me a long time before I bought it, but once I did I was extremely impressed and it is one of my favorite detailing products ever.

I now have a bright red vehicle that shows swirls very easily, and I am not getting any swirls to speak of using ONR

.......and holy thread resurrection, Batman!

Rob Tomlin- Yeah, I realize that I'm in, uhm....an unfortunate minority :o But it's not like I never use the stuff or anything...

I keep hearing you guys talk about it, but what exactly is it?

Is it a car washing solution?

I've been using it once/week in a heated garage to wash and remove salt from the exterior of my vehicle, and it has worked flawlessly for me. I pretreat the car by spraying a QD mix over the entire car with a simple spray bottle, and then wash with a mitt. No issues, no scratches, no marring - great product.

I rank ONR right up there with microfiber towels and clay as the most significant new products in the last 20 years. It continues to amaze me in how well it works for washing cars, wiping down interiors, cleaning glass, clay lube, etc.

Boy the last 3 posts combined describe my relationship with ONR exactly.

If the car has anything more than just light soiling (dust, or a light rain etc) I spray it off well with a hose. If it is really dirty I spray it with a power sprayer or go through my favorite touchless wash ( I like the under body spray from this)

I use it in my heated garage in the winter (or anywhere in the summer) and first spray it the car with a QD strength and let it sit a few to soften any debris (bugs etc). I may just clean with MF or if a bit more contamination is on the car I will do a 1 bucket wash. Using several MF towels.

ONR not only takes the top spot in my washing arsenal it takes top honers in my kitchen including my hard wood floors (I add a bit of instant detailer as well)

The number of ways I use the product are staggering. By road racing bicycle for instance always gets an ONR wash as it is so much easier on bearings and such not to spray the bike.

I have not tried the newest product opti-clean but the way I use ONR it might be worth a try.

My only gripe is that I like the smell of the previous version a bit better but no big deal.

A caveat to my post is that I am not a pro detailer and possibly nothing better than a certified hack and I only work on my own cars.

You know what they say about great minds! :)

I went overboard last week and actually used my cyclo on the bike. After 3 years of riding a significant crash last year in a race - it outshines all of them! I have a specialized carbon bike in red and the elbow grease is worth it.

I have an aluminum Fuji with a carbon fork and seat stays and an all aluminum Cannondale. ONR and Opti-Seal on both.
