Junkyard hood pics

Here's the junkyard hood I've been practicing on with the rotary. I've actually played around on both sides of the hood, but today I used #2 cutting pad followed by DACP/Polishing pad and one coat NXT by hand on the one side:

The heavy scratches in the middle are from when the hood was tossed on the scrap pile and they are down to primer.

Not bad at all! Yea the rotary does have its limitations, scratches like the one you show above wont be coming out with nothing short of a re-paint! What are your thoughts about using the rotary afterwards??

Looks good! Many holograms after the first swing with the rotory??? I know I had a few when I tried on the scrap hoods and fenders. With enough practice you can become very efficient with the rotory. It removes defects very fast and can produce an awesome finish. Keep at it and let us know your progress.

I really like it. It's not much faster than using the PC at the moment, but once I really start getting the feel for the machine, things should start speeding up

Depending on the product I'm using, I get some *very* mild holograms, nothing that can't be easily taken out by a different product or a pass with the PC
