Jetseal 109 pics - No Prep

Wow, talk about bring a thread back from the dead!! LOL.

JetSeal is still my favorite product, and it lasted six months for me. It actually continued to look decent for almost 8 months, and that's with driving it through automatic car washes. I've never hand washed this truck even one time since I've owned it. All I ever do is drive it through the wash, and then dry it with a qd of some kind.

Excellent product.

Personally, I found Jetseal's durability to be lacking. It's a very easy to use product and it looks great, but the beading isn't very good and it doesn't last for more but a few weeks.

Top it with a nice wax and you're in business though!

that's surprsing considering some of the photos posted here showed poor beading after a few weeks.

MDRX8,

There's absolutely nothing wrong with having your own personal feelings about a product. That being said, there's also nothing wrong with topping jetseal with a carnauba, if that's the look you are after.

I may actually do the same as you just to see if it's possible for my truck to look even better!! LOL. I'll most likely throw another coat of jetseal on tomorrow, and then top it this weekend with Souveran, just like you did.

The number one reason for me to use jetseal was the durability claims, and the fact that it does look good by itself, so I know what the *worst* case scenario is since Souveran doesn't last but a week or two.

Sorry if its off topic but I got a comment on my car after applying Pin. souveran.

I was drying my car at the car wash and this dude pulls up next to me in a brand new mercedes, black one. He rolled down the window and asked If I had just repainted my supra, I said: Nope, thats a 13 year old paint job. He quikly came out of the car and started walking around my car and replied, Are you shitting me, Looks better than my new merc. then I asked him what wax he uses. None he replies. Well there's your answer i said. And I also found out he used a degreaser everytime he washed he's car, so I explained to him that it stripps the wax and that he should buy a proper car soap not degreaser.

I had my jar of pinnacle and some other products in the car, and I was in a good mood that day. So I asked him if he wanted to see what a wax could do to transform a car. Ok he said. So I grabbed som pin. Poly clay and clay lube and first I clayed the car and he asked a bunch of question about what I was doing and such, after a bit of chatting I was finished claying and he was amazed by the amount of contaminents on the paint surface. QD and wiped the car down, Then I grabbed the souveran and applied that to the car, MF wipe off and he started laughing and shaking he's head. This is just like tv-Shop he said, but this actually works. we talked a bit and than he wanted my phone number and wanted me to be his detailer, So I guess thats my first customer. :P that was easy.

So the lesson here is, If you keep your car so shiny that it catches peoples attention, that can give you customers by itself, Maybe it helped that it was a Supra too. :P

That's a cool story, indeed the best way to get new customers!!!

Haven't used Jetseal but after various durability reviews; I decided to shy away.

PoliSeal is great for me. 1/2 the cut of Opt. Polish and looks very similar to Meg's 26 or a typical 'nuba. Very warm, prob. a little more reflective than expected. It has a nice "glow" if you will. Durability is somewhere beyond three months for me. I don't know beyond that. Works GREAT as an AIO on clearcoats and soft 18y.o. Ford single stage paint. Filling is nominal, super easy to use via PC.
