When we took delivery of the Jeep I called after I got home to complain that the brakes were pulsing like the rotors were warped. Car had approx. 20 miles on the clock when it was delivered.
I was told, it was surface rust from sitting in the yard. Well 3 weeks later, same deal and I have an appointment to get the rotors REPLACED tomorrow. I will be dropping off the car tonight and I hate sending a dirty car into service as the staff may feel like "if the owner does not care, why should we?" I hate breaking in a new dealer.
I have my DO NOT WASH SIGN IN THE GLOVE BOX READY FOR MOUNTING ON THE STEERING WHEEL.
So I gave it a quick clean up ( 1st one since we got it) last night when I got home from work.
Still cold here when the sun goes down so I broke out the winter wash gloves:
If you live where its cold these are a must. They are gloves made for the commercial window washing industry and very much like scuba gloves.

Lloyd Rear Cargo Mat and Net organizer installed

First Aid and Tow Recovery Kit Installed on Cargo Management Rack

Next onto the cleaning:
Car was foamed with PB super Slick and Suds and washed using 2BM poorboys SSS and a MF wash Mitt. Wheels were cleaned with Sonax FE wheel cleaner. Tires and wheel wells cleaned with Total Auto wash. After the initial wash grease spots left on the paint and minor tar spots were cleaned with TAW. Grease pencil was removed from the tires with Tarminator.
Quick clean up but it will make my job easier when I do the full detail. The good news is the paint looks to be in better than expected condition.
Dirty Pics (hard to catch)

All Cleaned Up
Wheels free of the sharpie writing

Did not dress tires as they will be removing wheels to do the rotors and I don't want a mess on he wheels, plus I was not overly satisfied with the cleanliness of the tires. I still see some brown when they dried and I scrubbed my butt off with the TAW and a stiff brush. Guess I will try some terminator and a dry MF towels as I have seen others do.
All Cleaned up

SO far we are really liking the Jeep. My wife and son have the most seat time, but when I drive it its just a fun ride. Nice to be able to drive over some minor imperfections in the road without feeling like your jarring your fillings loose-LOL
The End
