JDM ITR Red Recaros- Cleaning Question

Ok guyz i have a detail schedualed for an Integra, the guy has true JDM all red recaro seats, they are currently outta the car and he wants them cleaned, no over all deep stains or anythign heavy, BUT the seats are suede. can i go with my reegualr diluted oxi clean mix and Brissel "little green machine" extract after irriatting the seats?!?! Or should i use a different product! Lemme know asap! I just wanted to make sure since we are talking about 600+ dollars in seats that u can't find anywhere! lol

Don't use any of what you said.





Go to Target and pick up "Folex" in the cleaning section. Its a spot remover that works amazingly on every interior piece but windows. Use it as per instructions and you'll have great success.



BTW, the seats are Alcantara, not suede.

lol thanks sean! I got a detail you and a few other autopia members might find cool! A 1996 Honda Integra Type-r!! yes it's right hand drive, and yes it's from the mother-land!! hahah i'll post it up, one of these days
 
All red recaro's.. A friend of mine is currently looking for a set of those lol. When you post pics up, ill be sure to rub it in by showing htem to him.



I'll second the folex suggestion. After trying folex per Sean's suggestion, it is now my go to carpet product!

Alcantara is suede as must be treated as so. Alcantara is the type or name the manufacturer gives its suede. Just like connolly is a type of fine leather.

Alcantara also known as Ultra-Suede is a microfiber product.

Did we all stop using Woolite all of a sudden? I always thought that Woolite or some APC was always our go-to solution? Or maybe was that just for carpets? :hm
 
Denzil: I haven't used Woolite in cars in over a year. APC was there for a while. Folex or Kids&Pets (check amazon) is my new go-to.
 
Hmm... I'll definitely have to check Folex out then as soon as I'm out of Woolite! :woot:



So do you apply a dilution of sorts with Folex or just use it full strength? Any suggested places to purchase Folex from? Thanks.

Yes... and wonderfully prone to staining, fading REAL fast and sagging / loosening fibers when conditions come together... (My dash cover sagged so bad that it literally "crinkled" and I had to go have it removed at the dealer' s service station. I now have an ungrained soft plastic dashboard)





Alcantara ? No way in my lifetime ever again I'd use that stuff !! :down
