Jay Leno`s ceramic soap...

I saw the Jay Leno ceramic soap at Wal Mart. Price was less than Chemical Guys so I picked it up. It has a nice orange color and is semi-thick. First thing I like is the cap. It`s a pull open cap. I squeezed a bit into the bucket and added water. The directions call for 2-4 ounces per 5 gallon bucket. I`d guess I had about 2.5 gallons in the bucket. I think I ended up using about 1 ounce. OK suds at that amount. I`m sure a heavier amount of soap would produce more suds. I can`t really comment on the cleaning ability as the car was pretty clean. The lubricity was as good as the McKees SIO2 wash that I found to be a favorite. I have hard water and most soaps will leave water spots on the surface. The McKees spots wipe away easily. The Jay Leno is almost as good in that regard. Considering the price point, I`d say that this soap is a bargain.

Well I grabbed some. My hope was that it was going to be a good wash and leave the paint super smooth like Uber or TW Ceramic wet wax.

Observations with ~40ppm water:

Good lubricity at 4 oz to 4 gallons, similar to 1.5x recommended hyperwash dilution. Fair foaming. Rinses well. Decent not amazing cleaning. Good water shedding with nozzle off rinse. Good shine.

Adds...zero slickness/smoothness. The search continues. I just want to be able to wash with a traditional wash and not have to QD/Spray wax as I dry.
