I've had it - fed up with the detailing mess.

Today I went to the store to buy so more tire detailing stuff. Happened to be TW F21 Foam Tire stuff. Well there sitting right next to each other are two foam tire products both by Turtle Wax! One is F21, the other is Ice. This is total BS. WHY do companies make more than one version of the same product? it's bad enough that there are 100 brands of every type wax, protectant, glaze, polish you can think of; all claiming to be the best, fastest easiest. But when one company bottles two identical products that is just complete crap! What is going on.

It's likely they vary in the level of gloss.

Meguiar's is know for having several different products on the shelves which are all very similar.

Taken from Megs FAQ

Meguiar's offers a variety of products to meet the wide range needs of demanding users. Whether you are a do it yourself enthusiast or a highly trained professional, Meguiar's has a selection of products, pads and accessories that will solve your every need.

Also, the massive amount of product offerings from large companies like Megs and Mothers is overwhelming at first, but if you spend some time on the forums it all starts to make sense. ;)

It sounds like you won't make the mistake I did (tried to buy all and try everything) so at least you're way ahead of the game. Most products work fairly good and results are the same with varying degrees of success depending on who you ask. Are some "better" than others? I'd say yes, but the important thing is to find what you like and are comfortable using. Frankly the whole keep it simple approach by 3D is a welcome change from the old norm.

I'm with JuneBug, I love the whole concept with the HD range I think it is a refreshing change. Just a shame it wasn't around for the last 15 + years it would have saved me a bloody fortune.

Cheers

It is all money, money & money. Companies make numerous products to get you to try them all (especially those of us who love detailing, like me). They make more money making five products that dress tires than they would if they just had one that worked great. I know because I fell for it all. I have learned that the difference in all these products is minimal. Find something you like and stick with it.
