It's nothin' fancy, just wanted to freshen up my old, battered, CRAFTSMAN lawn mower with a touch of 'rat rod' styling. Some 'satin' black and 'glossy' banner red.

Next up when I get a chance, a little 1-shot pinstriping and maybe some new lawn mower wheels...something a little more 'cool' if I can find some.

Anyway, hope you all get a laugh out of it and maybe I'll inspire another one to go crazy with their lawn mower.

\m/

Haha, very creative! Much better than Craftsman green (unless it was a red model ... ) Any engine mods? How low can you go with it? :).

Engine mods? Let's see...it's a supercharged 6.25 HP Yamasakisuki motor with a 200 shot of NOS and a 2-speed tranny...slow and slower.

And she'll 'lay blade' when dropped down on the airbags.

:rofl

i recommend going pro street on that bad boy ...maybe some fatties on the rear and pizza cutters on the front .. better traction and less rolling resistance :dnaughty..might add 2 carburetors :bigups:crazy:

That's one of the cleanest mower that I've seen in a while...besides mine:D

I'm thinking a "no fear" sticker on it some place would be in order...skull and cross bones?

I think we should have a mower contest for detailing and custom work! :lol2: I have a 25hp John Deere riding mower maybe I can rod it up when I get some free time.:D

scott that is one bad wagon :D

We got a little carried away. :) My cousin and I were at a swap meet years ago and he bought a big pipe wrench. We got tired of carrying the thing around, so I spent $10 on a rusty little wagon. It was squeaky and a little embarrassing.

We picked up the rear tires at a lawnmower junkyard from the front of an old Toro. My cousin built the rear axle. I cleaned it up and painted it. I even used the material from an old jeep soft top for a bed liner. An old closet rod was polished and used for the dual exhaust pipes. The rest of the rod was used for a longer handle to make it easier to pull.

It's quite the attention grabber at swap meets. The rear tires are McCreary and look just like slicks. It pulls easily and floats across all surfaces. I just don't want to think of the amount of money and time I have into the thing.

I thought about making them and selling them at swap meets. Unfortunately, swap meets seem to be dying and I don't know how well I'd do. It would give me an excuse to buy new tools and stuff though. ")
