It's a Ferrari, it's red, it's got Zaino + Souveran...

This is going to be pic intensive. Why? Why not? :)

Tuesdays are the start of the week for me, and usually that means a tough couple of details. Today, not so much; it's always fun to work on exotics and in this case the owner actually takes good care of it. It's never been polished so there were two years of washes to clean up, light to moderate swirling. The only real issue was a wetsand/rotary buff gone wrong from the dealer on the roof. I couldn't get pics of it, but you know how it is. In any event it's gone now. And hey, the sun co-operated. It's always nice to work in perfect weather.

Process:

Wash and clay

Menzerna IP, orange pad, via PC

Menzerna FPII, white pad, via PC

Zaino Z2Pro buffed off with HGAS

Souveran

303 in the wells, Megs Insane on the tires, Poorboys Trim Restore and NL on the trim.

Wow, amazing job on the paint. That car is absolutely beautiful.

Just wondering, how did you tackle the vertical rear end panel, it seems like such a tight space to fit the PC pad.

Geeez i thought you were kidding in you rlast line until I saw the garage! *** does this guy do for a living! God sometimes I'm like boy... I have it good! I have so much, good family, etc......the I see posts like this with guys having some really hot toys! I get all depressed....then on my way to work I'll see some homeless peeps in the subways etc and realize I do have it good........and the cycle just continues!!

Nice job as usual on the Ferrari!! I was driving next to a 575 on the LIE last Friday in traffic. Such a nice ride and not a Ferrari you see all the time!

Wow that glass is crystal clear...I wish mine looked like that! Stupid pitting :( Good job on the detail!! Looks amazing

Dripping wet indeed. :bow

How did the Souveran apply over the Zaino? Was it easy to layer over the Z-2 Pro?

What does your client do for a living to have such fine autos?

nice property,, with a gated entrance, and a roll of barbed wire on top for a little extra !!

(looks like barbed wire anyways!)

bTW, nice car and nice detail.

I used the PC where I could, and when I can't get to it (like inside door handles), I use ScratchX by hand.

Picus, May i ask what length of time this job took?

Did you do any interior work?

This took about 5.5 hours. I didn't use my rotary this time. Actually this is the first time in a few weeks I've used a PC only for polishing, and I must say that it remains a great machine in my mind, but it sure is slow. :)

No problem with Souveran over Zaino. I let them both sit quite awhile while I did other things like dress the trim, polish the exhaust tips, etc... Both came off very easy.

Since I'm always curious about garage construction, can you tell us what's on top of the garage area? Deck, pool, driveway?

I believe it's a deck. I haven't been up there, but there are skylights in the garage so I know it isn't a pool. There are some flowerpots and deck chairs up there, so I'm saying deck.

The owner built the house 17 years ago, it's right on Lake Ontario (like backs right into it). He has a 55 foot pond in the back with the biggest koi I've ever seen.

He's retired now, he was in the "non ferrous metal industry" (he sold metal). It's pretty evident to me that he worked hard to be where he is and is enjoying himself now. He's a real down to earth guy and really appreciated the work done, so :bigups

Thanks everyone.
