I don’t think this was the main instigator behind MB new clear coat system but……

Scratch Resistant Clear Coat:

Mercedes-Benz has developed an innovative new clear lacquer paint technology; this nano-particle clear coat incorporates microscopic ceramic particles in a clear urethane lacquer. The clear coat is factory applied and then ‘baked’ in a high-temperature drying oven forming a hard scratch and fade resistant finish. This paintwork system significantly improves surface gloss over conventional clear coats. It is also provides better protection from the necessary automatic car-washing, and concentrated detergents used, as it's illegal to wash your vehicle and allow water to flow to a storm-drain in Germany due to environmental regulations.

~Hope this helps~

Very cool. It looks great for there being zero prep! I'm waiting for my towels to wash and dry and then (probably tomorrow) I'm going to go out and just do a coat of NXT with zero prep and see what it will do for me. The paint is in great shape but it has a few minor swirls from winter washing and needs to be clayed in some areas. We'll see how it does ;)

Lovin your taste in cars

Is that the Euro spec Si as we call it in the states or is it a Type R over there? Does it come with the B16A2 or the B16B. Just curious because I have the same rims on my US Si and it comes with the B16A2.

I plan to have NXT on my Si by this weekend, looks awesome :xyxthumbs

It's an american spec DX with Si lip, grill, and wheels.
