It`s here! Griots new edgeless PMF drying towel.

I`m too cheap to buy a Griot`s towel, but I did buy the PFM knockoff`s from both TRC and MFT. This has been a "low energy" detailing year for me, so I haven`t used either of them, but I did look at them the other night, I didn`t realize until just now seeing this new PFM that is two towels sewed together, that Griot`s has two kinds, a dual-weave and a dual-plush, which kind of explains why the MFT and TRC towels are different...they each knocked off one style.

Too late for me. I already have 4 PFM towels with no ill effects from the edging. Probably a good option for a first timer.

wow that`s a good amount for 1 towel. I was considering getting a single big towel as I only have a couple of smaller ones. They usually do fine until I want to wash more than 1 car or I do my truck. I think I paid $10 per small towel and the 2 would probably be about the same as their 1. Maybe when the kids are in school I can splurge.

LOL. I got 4 of the PFM and I think I`ve only used one towel a couple times - probably it was a early morning wash in which I was not able to run the blower.

I`m all about the blow and then the 16x16 blot

As you know I’m Griot’s exclusively, I have one and it works great! However, unless you have an SUV I prefer the regular PFM. A little easier to handle for me.

I have 2 25x35 PFM drying towels and 10 (yes 10) 16x16 PFM drying towels. Usually one large towel for the hood, roof and trunk. One drag across a section and dry. Smaller ones for doors. The 25x35 does get a little heavy. I do not try to ring out either one of them. I just dry them when finished.

Ordered 4 today.

The midsize 27" x 19" PFM (exclusive to Advanced Auto Parts?) is the perfect size and doesn`t feel too heavy when wet.

The sister site has an outlet store with a 20x28 PFM. Also great deals on 2 packs of the PFM glass and wax removal towels. They’re the non-standard colors like you see at parts stores vs Griot’s or the main stores here.

I really like the GG PFM`s. I have several and use them on my Audi. Not sure if there is anything better - or noticeably better out there. However, I was at a a NJ detailer`s shop a coupe of weeks ago and bought a large Adam`s MF and have no complaints with that either.

Yep.. Got 2 of these, like the mid. size for trunk, roof, hood.
The 16x16 gets the rest. Some times I use the 9x16 detail towel PFM for the intricate grill on my Malibu.

I know it`s a big stretch to say one MF towel looks like another but my first thought was that this looks nearly identical to the one I just saw in one of Scott`s videos from Dallas Paint Correction. Seems he has his own line of towels now and his drying towel looks exactly the same. Anyone else have the same thought?

Please don`t get me wrong. I`m not insinuating anything. That was just the first thought that popped in my head. Looks like a great towel but I have a hard time with larger towels. This would probably be great for the initial drag to dry method and then go back around with a smaller towel.

I bough one from Advance Auto Parts on sale on line and it was not as thick as the one I bought from AG. Works fine though. Most of the water is blown off so a normal microfiber towel or two usually does the job for me. I’ve got one of the AG Big Blue drying towels and I can say it has held up very well.
