Issues today on a SUV I've done 4 times before.

Maybe you got a bad batch? I'm scared to use my Opt. PS now. Keep us updated.

Don't be scared. 9 times out of 10, product problems are operator error.

I've had nothing but spectacular results with Poli-Seal and I've used it on around 75+ cars already, many of them black.

Yeah, dont not use it from my instance. I was really just looking for some insight. Sometimes you do things so routinely, your not on all your toes. Its an awesome product as all who have used, have atested. I'll figure it out soon enough.

George B, thats great idea! Keep me posted on next week too.

Something "Landcruiser" just emailed me about was the pad. Maybe I should have used a more aggressive pad. I dont recall 100%, what I used the 1st time, with PS, a few weeks ago that left identical results.

I'll keep playing with it on my wifes Expedition, along with that 1Z PP......(side by side).

I was really impressed with the 1Z, but Im hearing it has a lot of fillers.....(I hate fillers).

What speed was the PC on? Did you use anything else *before* the PS on the other cars? Was the pad fresh out of the package? Were you outside? Windy?

New body style Escalade?

I did one of these last weekend and the paint was *very* soft--PS would *not* leave an acceptable finish:

eb, friggin bee-utiful!

Ok, after deliberating with several folks, its been narrowed down to the fact I may not have been using enough PS. This was more then likely due to the fact that im so accustomed to using the polish and compound, for extended periods, and merely adding product for the abrasive value. As those of you know, who have used the polish and compound, it has an uncanny extended use period. And when you add additional product, (After your pad is seasoned) its not necessarily as much for lubrication values, as it is for abrasives. In other words, once the pad is seasoned, additional applications of product to pad, naturally provides more lubricants, but its the abrasives that are diminished and your trying to replace before moving on.

Well, the PS, has nowhere near the oils or abrasives, as does its sister products. It was suggested to me, that I may have actually been using too little product, and "dry buffing", a term feared by many, lol. (not funny) It was also recommended that I use more then whats traditional with the Polish or Compound due to this fact. Also, in others experience, a more closed cell pad, such as the Sonus white or comporable LC pad, would allow less absorption into the cells.... It all makes common sense to me. I'll give it a shot, next go around, but i suspect I've (we've) nipped this one in the bud.

Thanks. Since selling my business, I don't do it for the money, I do it for the pure enjoyment of the hobby. :thx

The white LC pads work very well with Poli-Seal.

Scott, whats instigates your choice of using the PS vs another product? In other words, "when" do you use it....?

Im gearing its use towards vehicles that are in pretty decent shape, and not in need of any 'real" swirl removal. But just to use its abrasives as a cleaner instead. I fig'd if I needed a light swirls removal, Id go to OP, then follow up with my UPP routine.

I do a test panel or two. If it isn't enough, then I bump it up to something else and use OPS as my finishing glaze or LSP depending on the job requirements.
