Isopropyl Alcohol in QD's?

:hijack Not to hi-jack your thread but as i was reading thru a thought crossed my mind. If i remember correctly Automagic dealers are not allowed to sell anything over 16oz outside of their teritory. Its distributor guidelines, I'm curious how that site is able to do what they are doing.

I'm just a regular guy, not a pro. Maybe that has something to do with it? I also bought a gallon of the 777 APC. If our buddy SA Detailer was still here I would recommend him to use that dilluted for wheels, tires and interiors (AutoMagic has a video on its uses). It says it won't blush aluminum. It looked interesting and for $4 I got a gallon. I also got 16oz of Banana Magic wax for $2.50 and No. 90 XP Swirl Remover for $2.50.

Thats not bad at all. The 777 is some good apc, I like their special cleaner better though. 4$ for the gallon plus 4 for shipping, thats one hell of a deal.

Watch out though with the swirl remover, it contains alot of fillers, i wouldn't use it on full price details as it will eventually wash off and you'll see them swirls come right back. I use it on wholesale cars and buy here pay here dealership cars when they just want the car dolled up. Overall i would say you made out damn good.

I have been using the Magic Mist for some time. It is a great spray wax. Use it for quickie wash, clay and wax jobs for auction vehicles. It leaves a nice shine and slick feel. We prefer it over the 4* 4-90 Spray Wax Plus that we had gotten a while back. Just a tad bit slicker feel. And it doesn't affect our LSP's. The alcohol I believe is to aid in drying quicker and not streaking. And I think it is a minimal amount. The distributor told us that Auto Magic is making a major push to have it's products all VOC compliant over the next few years. Damn tree huggers! The alcohol is probably taking the place of another solvent. We do not use it as a lubricant, keep a jug of Body Shine around for that. But Fuzz you are right, it does great on polished wheels. But you are wrong on it not having any purpose. I mean if that is your position I guess you do not care for any spray waxes?
And speaking of the Fuzz. Dude you gotta do something about the do. It is really looking dated. And if you aren't going to make a date with the shears, how 'bout a name change? Maybe Joe Dirt. Or better Joe Dirt Extractor!!

Wow this 50% is a great deal!! Spilchy, is there any reason you chose 777 over 737 (the water based apc)?

Haha thought I'm just mention that.

edit....oh looking at price there's a big difference nm

Cause it was $4! Plus I watched the video of it demonstrated on their website and was impressed. It doesn't blush aluminum and can be used on paintwork. So I have 4 different dilutions to cover the whole vehicle. It should last a while.

Thanks for the info magicman411 and TrueDetailer. I'll be using the swirl remover as a second step after a slightly deeper polishing before I apply the wax.

Since it works well the tiny alchohol content comes under BFD! You made a good buy so use it and enjoy the shine be it washer or car.
