Is ZFX necessary with EVERY coat of Z2-Pro?

Getting ready to stock back up on Zaino and was wondering if it's needed. In the past I used it with every coat of either Z2 or Z5, was that overkill? TIA!

zfx is necessary for the first coat, and every 10 coats there-after.

other than that, you can use z2/z5 by themselves without zfx. It'll take longer to dry without zfx, and you are limited to one application per day.

:xyxthumbs I thought it might be worth a mention that the new Z2 Pro dries just as fast with or without ZFX.

:up Argee. Depand on your location. Mine dried in a minute without EFX.

mochamanz quote from http://autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51942&highlight=zfx

"You can add 1 coat daily with no zfx indefinately according to my understanding after reading the instructions. ZXF is used for multiple coats within 24 hours according to the Z website. Maybe I am wrong, but from my experience, even the old Z2 could be layered once a day without ZFX. ZFX is a curing accelerant, not a bonding agent needed to get the stuff to stick to itself."

If this is true on the first coat why is Z1 or ZFX required?

According to the web site

"Using ZFXâ„¢ in place of Z-1â„¢ Polish Lok will promote cross-linking, reduce drying time, increase gloss factor, extend durability level, and instantly cure to allow multiple immediate coats! No more waiting between coats! "

So I quess ZFX tkes the place of Z1 and allows up to 3 coats in a 24 hr. period.
