Is Zaino Z2-pro supposed to be watery?

I gotta say, I'm surprised to hear that Z-2PRO is a "thin" sealant. I'm interested in hearing what other sealants are much thicker; I used my first bottle several months ago (and love its results and have used it about 4 times since), and I find it to be thick and not very easy to spread.

Currently, the only other sealants I use are UPP and Glanz Wax (which is actually a polymer sealant), and Z2_PRO is like molasses in comparison.

I like Z2pro, but I must agree, it's a bit thin for my taste. I use the yellow foam applicator and the product just disappears into the foam. I find myself having to press down harder than usual to get the product on the paint. At about midway my fingers starts to get tired. After the 2nd coat, I have to really convince myself to use up the product (w/ZFX) with a 3rd coat.

It's like my experience with Z16. I would pour Z16 onto the sponge and it would disappear. I also find product dripping on the floor. I've since replaced the spout with a sprayer and now it works like a champ. No more wasting product on the floor!

Maybe I should try Z2pro with a spay trigger?

I never liked applying Z sealants with a sponge-type applicator. Try a cotton or MF applicator and you will notice a big difference in ease of application and finger fatigue.:heelclick

How old is your bottle? Maybe you should give Sal a call. I've never seen Z2pro that thick.

This seems a little strange to me,when i last used Zaino, about 18 months ago(i no longer use it),my Z2 Pro was very thick,so much so that it was quite difficult to shake well before using.

I have not used Z5 Pro,but i have used Z5,and i remember that being slightly thinner than my Z2 Pro:nixweiss

Wow this thread has many different viewpoints!

I have never used Z2 but i use KSG all the time and it's really thin and I use a MF app. to apply and it's easy as anything to put on.

So i would suggest that if your Z2 is that thin just shake well and use a MF app. and you should be fine.

I didn't mean it was actually as thick as molasses; the one I have is just much thicker than other sealants and liquid waxes I've used - after mixing 1/2 ounce with ZFX, it's actually hard to get the last drops to come out of the bottle.

When I first tried it and posted my thoughts, at least a few long-time Zaino fans agreed that it was a bit thick and hard to spread (especially compared to the old Z-2), so :nixweiss

I know at some point Sal tweaked Z2pro. The newer bottles are a bit thinner.
