Is Wolfgang Finishing Glaze the same as PO106FF?

Just to clarify, Nano Polish IS NOT the same as the WG Finishing Glaze. While they are similar products, the formulas are different. I will say that you'll notice longer working times, and less dusting with the Wolfgang polish.

Thanks

Matt

Two applications cuz why? Different pads? Or just for maximum jeweling?

Maximum jeweling. While the gloss FPII can achieve is unsurpassed, it takes it's time on getting there. It will actually leave a fantastic gloss on really hard clears, too, but you have to pack a lunch and a dinner to do it.

Hey Sup

How does FPII stack up against UF SE in terms of cut and finish on med to really soft clear anyways?

I haven't tried the UF on soft clears yet.. when I get a soft one, I'm just in the habbit of grabbing the FPII. Yet another test to perform.... :D

What number is FPII, couldnt find it on the Menzerna Chart.

Oh good heavens yes. You'd be hard pressed to find a finer jeweling polish.

So when doing correction on soft clears... would you even use IP or is FPII with an orange pad sufficient enough since the clear is soft?

IP is great for correcting soft clears. FPII's only real purpose is gloss. Even on soft stuff, FPII just won't do much in the way of correcting. Menzerna kinda screwed up by naming it "Intensive Polish". It makes it sound like it's some serious juju when it's about one of the most gentle medium grade polishes out there.

I had alot of issues with the Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3.0...

I was using it via Flex 3401 w/ a White CCS Pad @ speed 5 and I could not get it to stop flashing on the surface almost instantly, no matter what I did.. more polish less polish it just kept flashing.

Nick,

Was the pad dry? I've found that conditioning the pad beforehand makes a pretty significant difference!

I used the same combo/machine/speed recently and worked it for quite a while before it flashed:nixweiss

Left a very nice finish as well.

Was your paint cool and in the shade?

I found the 3.0 finishing glaze did flash considerably quicker than the 3.0 total swirl remover. So I added a touch of OP and it appeared to dust much less. Conditioning the pad does help somewhat.

It was cool and in my garage, it was really really odd. I never had a polish do that to me before.

The car was thoroughly wash and clay'd...

I did not condition the pad before hand, however I did do it after I complete the hood which was the first panel I completed.

I've used other Wolfgang products and I've liked them a lot and AG has awesome products/prices/support. I just had issues with this particular product
