Is this the correct Procedure?

i too have cleaner wax(a sample from clay, plus my dad bought a large bottle a while back) and NXT wax.

I havent really heard an answer yet as to wether using both the cleaner wax and NXT would be better than NXT alone.

Cleaner wax cleans more than just NXT on its own. Some cars require the paint to be cleaned, some do not, so what is best for you will depend upon the condition of your paint. I would not use cleaner wax then NXT personally... I'd get a paint cleaner and use NXT, or just use NXT.

In the absence of a dedicated paint cleaner, cleaner-wax oughta better prep the surface as compared to NXT alone. The combo of a cleaner-wax topped with a "straight" (i.e., non-cleaner) wax is time-tested; it works.

IMO it's better than using the NXT alone and at least you'll get some use out of the cleaner-wax. In the future you can get better products and see if they make a worthwhile difference.

IIRC, Mike Phillips of Meguiar's has used NXT over top of Meg's #66 (a professional-line cleaner wax).

Using a cleaner-wax on wheels is *VERY* similar to the popular approach of using Klasse AIO on wheels. AIO is really just a "synthetic cleaner-wax" that has sealant instead of wax for its protective ingredient.

6hrs late and I am done... I didn't use cleaner wax and I listened to most of the suggestions. I'll try to get some pics up later.
