Is this detail cart worth buying?

I use this one, too. It's rolls smoothly on the cement, but it's rough on asphalt (my driveway) and has a tough time running over cords.

I believe I'm going to get a 30' Master Blaster hose so I won't have to roll this thing around so much. If any of you know where I can get the 30' hose at a good price, please let me know. (I've already contacted Ray, and Autopia doesn't have any in stock.)

I always had a nice exposed aggregate driveway or concrete driveway, and even on exposed aggregate, did not notice it running rough over it... The asphalt I have seen seems to be pretty darn smooth, compared to exposed aggregate...

Already got the extra hose for the Master Blaster and after dealing with all that extra length and weight, I went back to the normal hose, the M/Blaster on the top tray of my Detailing Cart, and it rolls around just fine...

If you get a long enough extension and its not too far away from the plug, my 50 foot 12awg extension never gets in the way; mine never does...

I just lay out the extension cord and roll my Blaster all the way around with very little to no issues depending on the vehicle..

I said it before and I'll say it again... "Shopping-Cart" ;)

I also use a table from time to time

ok so it's settled I will commit petty theft. lol (is that theft under 500?- sure hope so!!)

I love your idea though and think I gave you crap about it before (jokingly) but its totally a good idea

if I 'borrow' one from the local HEB it has cup holders!!!!
but the walmart ones are closer to my house and would be an easier grab plus they are newer and roll better-- I don't suppose they'd just sell me one, might have to ask...I don't like breaking 'most' laws

Well, to be honest, I didn't steal any shopping carts, that one in the photo is owned by the condo building where I wash my car (looks stolen but it wasn't me if it was). The first shopping cart I acquired was near my home while out walking my dog many years ago. I found it abandoned in an alley and I figured it was fair game as there was a store for almost a mile around. Ironically there's actually a finders keepers law in Canada.

There is one occasion when I was doing my orange peel removal and someone had taken my shopping cart from my interior parking spot storage area and urgently I needed a replacement to keep working. So I drove to the local grocery store (in my mod'ed Jeep SRT8 with the back seats down) and when I pulled in the lot I just didn't feel right randomly taking a cart, so I went in and spoke to the manager and asked if I could "borrow" a shopping cart. He instantly remebers me and my Jeep SRT8 (they load the groceries in it back, regularly) and said, "it's kind of odd request but sure take one, but only one please". I actually brought it back to the grocery store cleaned and detailed once mine was returned.

I don't condone stealing but if you find an abandoned shopping cart their worth pushing home (they are unsightly, IMHO so I store mine under a tarp or in the backyard shed)

P.S. there's always an abundance of abandon shopping carts right after the first of the month... Always found this fact, hilarious.

I will go the borrow or ask if I can buy route (but at a different location not close to my home)

I don't condone theft BY ANY MEANS just to clarify. BUT I don't know where one would even purchase a shopping cart if one wanted to. (besides the grocery store)

actually the more I think about it I would only use this at my house. I don't see myself loading up a shopping cart in the back of my truck for mobile jobs

dang why did I have to find a hole in my new plan already!

Figured I'd share my thoughts since I have a harbor freight 3 shelf cart. I bought it thinking I'd need one, but honestly I could probably do without it. It usually just accumulates the towels I use during a detail and periodically I put my polisher or products on the bottom shelf. When not in use I keep my DP blower on it but I could also store that elsewhere and free up some room that the cart takes up in the garage. But I have enough extra room that I haven't bothered selling the cart yet.

Here's the cart for reference.

Don't you have to go from side to side and again to blow roofs dry? I do for my van. When I do this, the 14AWG extension cord is running along the vehicle and I have to fiddle with it to get it out of the way to roll back to the other side. If I run over it with the cart, it's a rough go, and usually my Shih Tzu, Marlie, is on the top shelf and it startles her.
