Is this bad?

I recently bought a new brand of car wash soap that I thought I'd like better than what I had been using (it's 3D Pink Car Soap if it matters.) In reality, after use in my foam gun I've noticed that I have to use much too much of it (and it's not cheap with shipping) in order to get the foam I want. I switched back to my regular soap with my preferred foam, BUT I still have this small-ish bottle of the 3D pink I just bought left.

Can I put a bit of this car wash solution into a spray bottle, then dilute it down and use it as a QD or waterless wash? My car gets parked under a tree that spits little sap pieces overnight. They easily come off with QD and a good MF but since I have the pink stuff left can I use that?

Am I doing harm?

(BTW, the HD people should look at their ad for "HD All In One" on the right hand side of the screen. They definitely put "hollograms" instead of "holograms...just thought you should know...)

All that "foam" does is to provide some "lubricity" and keep the "kids" happy as they believe that "foam" is what is important.

It's only to make people happy and to provide some "lubricity" during the mitting, etc process.

The key ingrediants are the surfactants in the product and so they clean off the dirt/soil and not leave a film, a quality carwash soap/shampoo, behind when rinsed.

There are variable version of "salt", in order to keep this simple, in most such products, they are important to the cleaning process, when combined with the other surfactants.

Grumpy

I'm "Mr. Foamgun-Wash" around here, and I don't really want foam either.

But to answer the OP's real Q...

No, don't try to mix up a rinseless QD using regular shampoo. Use the crappy shampoo up on wheels/wells/etc. instead.

Oh, and yeah...I'll give you a :xyxthumbs on spell-checking that ad. Just saying so in case somebody gets all  about it.

I like high foam for some reason. It's a different wash feel.

I guess I'll have to just get some ONR and mix to QD strength.

OK, cool, we all have our preferences.

That's a *much* better idea than trying it with regular shampoo, and I hear the lastest ONR is really great stuff.
