Is this a good head unit?

2001civicex thats a good head unit. My one friend has it with a pretty intense system in his car and hasn't had problems with it. It also has a very nice look to it. I though the mp3 feature would be cool, having tons of songs on 1 cd but i soon discovered it can be annoying. Another friend wit a pioneer deh7300(another good head unit) has mp3 feature to. We had to flip threw so many songs to find the one u like or seaching for. I think you can do something wit folders but we really didn't look threw the book. Anyway the Alpine looks nice and is a good head unit. If you get it just make sure you detach the face in busy public areas, don't want that getting stolen now.
 
Also remember that those other internet retailers are probably not authorized resellers so the warranty won't apply. Just an FYI. It may still be worth the savings.
 
Thanks guys! Only thing I don't like is how the cd is not hidden behind the face. I like that cause it tends to keep dust out but I am an autopian and my car is never dirty so it should not matter. ;) And the face will be going with me all the time! I am getting a new head unit because my old system was stolen, along with my alarm siren!
 
Alpine is top of the line, although it is not their top model (Which I have) it performs well with other companies models top recievers. By going with Alpine, you will not be disapointed. Take this from someone who knows everythingthere is to know about car audio
 
Well, I went into Circiut city last night to look at this radio and I saw one on display just like it for $20 less. I asked the sales guy what that was about and he said that the other one was a new model. He said it was the exact same thing just newer (It looked just like it and had all the same features). So I am going to go for the newer on for $20 less!



I am going to take time and shop around and hope to find a sale before the car comes out of storage. I also need a new pool cue case! :D
