Is there such thing as a bug remover you can leave on the car without washing off?

Hi everyone,

It`s car show season and that means driving 2-4 hours to a show and having a crap load of bugs on the car by the time I get there. Normally I take the time to stop before I get there and give it a proper wash, but there are times where I just want to get there because there is a pre-show get together the night before and so on.

If I wash the car thoroughly before I leave, I could probably get away with just quick detailer to look presentable as long as I don`t have a ton of bugs.

So I`m wondering if there is a such a thing as a bug remover that I can leave on the paint after I use it without washing it off?

The Harley guys use Bug Slide and supposedly you can do that, but I`d like to get a detailer`s opinion of it. The product instructions tell you to spray it on the paint or chrome, etc. to make it easier to remove bugs later.

Is there a quick detailer like spray on wax component of this then?

Should I worry about leaving it on the car without washing after I use it?

If not this stuff do you guys have any other suggestions?
 
Contradiction- There are some spray-on "barrier"-type products that supposedly protect while on the vehicle and wash off easily. I never really looked into them, can`t remember their names...

Poorboy`s Bug Squash (recommended dilution ratio 3:1), wipe up bug residue, then spray Meg`s D114 (recommended dilution ratio 128:1) right over the top and dry with a microfiber towel. LSP safe and very quick & easy.

This, plus a fresh light coat of your LSP prior to departing for the show. It amazing how easy the bugs come of a fresh waxed or sealed car. I would waterless/rinseless wash as soon as my car cools at the show/hotel.
