Hmm, mainly I just have stuff I don't use anymore. But, I hate those Armor All wipes, and I hate Rain-X anti-fog. I also hated the Armor All and Son of Gun (which for some reason always makes me laugh when I think of it because one time a friend of mine referred to it as "Son of ***** protectant", in the vein of those students in "Stripes" who were learning English, and I think of it every time I think of Son of a Gun) protectants I had.

Fake finger nails on women who open my passenger side car door. They scratch the paint under the latch. :scared

Don't get me wrong, I LOVEfake finger nails on women. "Here. let me get that door for you." :cool:
 
I hate flannel towels b/c I wasted my money on them and I only use them to clean the engine which is does horribly job but I just wanted to find something to use them for. Flannel can't pick up dust or water.

Yeah the original owner of my Passat must have had long nails - there are all sorts of scratches behind the door handles!:mad:
 
Let's give this newbie actual detailing product advice -- not a list of "pet peeves" regarding behavior. OK? :up



Stuff I've learned (since moving to Autopia) to avoid:



1. Armor-All, Son of a Gun, and all those other "short-term-payoff/long-term-damage" products for vinyl and rubber.



2. cheap microfibers (buy just once from Pakshak, MF Tech, etc., and you'll never be suckered-into walmart-type brands again)



3. those plastic-covered sponges for bug/tar removal -- too much risk of scratching
 
More so than people fingering up my passenger door, I hate it when they close the trunk on my car by reaching up and fingering up the back, especially when I haven't been able to wash the car in a while. That and people trying to close the doors on my car (its a 2 door so no window frames) by pushing on the window :eek:
 
People who park two inches away and ding your door when there are 17 open parking spaces around you CLOSER to the building.
