Is there a QD that leaves a deep, wet look ??

I used Duragloss 521. Some say it is the same as Zaino Z-8. Sure performs and smells like Z-8. I'll use OCW after my next ONR.

wannafbody's thought struck me odd too, because in my vocabulary, a QD is a liquid capable of making a car look like freshly detailed.

That ABSOLUTELY INCLUDES the boosting of gloss levels, enhancing slickness, a little bit of protection and the cleaning off of eventual smudges, fingerprints, etc. As for dust particle encapsulation, I'd rather use ONR QD mix and then a proper QD.

Yeah... it makes me wonder what some people are doing. In many cases I get more shine from a QD than an LSP. Zaino's QD is labeled as a "Gloss Enhancer"

So is Optimum's. :up

I say FK425. Buy a gallon and save a bunch. Some say its more a class of its own product then a QD but I have noticed it does just as well as QD's for cleaning. It removes tire glaze sling more quickly than the Meguairs Ultimate QD I was using (a good OTC product BTW).

Try FK's 146 for a nice cleaning detail spray.

i am just about to order a gallon of this but i was wondering on what your guys' thoughts on the finish kare anti-static quick detailer thingy. I dont think it has a number like the 425 but it is on the autogeek website for a bit less than the 425. I use carnubas a lot so an anti-static qd would be good for me.

Sure QD's can add gloss but in most cases they evaporate off in short order since the product is 95% water They aren't waxes with any sort of durability.

Go with the FK425. I believe the 425 also has anti-static properties in it as well, the best detail spray I have ever used. Clearkote Quickshine works equally as well, but FK425 smells soooo much better, makes you want to drink it!

haha good to know man. i am about to hit the order button. can't wait. the pink reminds me of the pink in DP rinseless wash and gloss hehe

I don't have a favorite but I use prima hydro, FK425, werkstatt, megs 34, prima slick and a few others and they all have their own unique look. I really have been hooked on the werkstatt carnauba glos. Leaves a great look over a good nuba.

My choices have been Clearkote's Quickshine and Duragloss AW. I had arranged to buy some F425 awhile back but somehow it got lost in transit and I never got the opportunity as it has a good reputation around here. They add a little shine and depth along with some slickness and great inbetween details. During the summer I just spruce my cars with these every few days after a wash and looks like it's been freshly detailed.

pinnacle crystal mist is nice. also souveran spray wax is great as well.

Both of these are my favoritesthus far. I just picked up a bottle of Groits Spray wax that is very good. I'll really have to wait till spring to compare the 3.
