Is Swissvax Cleaner Fluid a Must?

I think i'm going to give Swissvax Zuffenhausen a try. Is Cleaner Fluid a must or will you get the same results using Z-AIO?

Look wise it is what gave the bling when I used it a couple of time for a client. However, ZAIO is also an excellent looking product, so I'd say it is not a must.

Definately get the Cleaner Fluid it is matched to the Swissvax Waxes and is what is proven, for the extra expense it is worth it IMO.

I will yield to those who have lots of experience with Swissvax waxes and who have used them with and without the SV Cleaner Fluid; but in general principle I would have to answer no. Quite honestly, the SV claim that their waxes need the Cleaner Fluid for optimal performance just sounds like one more marketing claim to sell another product. Cleaner Fluid may well be an outstanding prewax cleanser, in which case it should be purchased on its own merits; but I am skeptical of the intimation that the SV waxes perform better when the paint is cleaned specifically with Cleaner Fluid. Is there some kind of unique chemical interaction that happens between the SV waxes and Cleaner Fluid?

My "Best of Show" seems to work just fine when it is applied to a freshly polished surface. It seems to work just fine when it is applied to a surface that has been prepped with another company's pre-wax cleanser. It's just a carnauba wax, after all.

There is no doubt you can use any pre-cleaner or not use any at all before applying your wax. My point is simply, you spend around $200+ on a wax and go through all the work in preparing your car to obviously try an optain the best look possible, invest the extra and get the product that the manufacture has developed to work with, has proven the results with, and endorses.

Think of it like painting a car, you can purchase the paint from manufacture A, the primer from B and the clear coat from C, is it going to work? Probably, are the results going to be optimum? Unlikey. In the end if the products are not fully compatable then you have wasted a lot of time preparing and a whole heck of a lot in removing and preparing all over again.

IMO just not worth it after you have invested that much in a high quality wax.
