Could anyone comment on the ease of application and durability of the following products. The car that they will be used on is metallic Silver and brand new.

-Zaino

-Klasse

-Pinnacle Souveran

-Blackfire

Any other comments on comparison would be very welcome as well.

Thanks in advance:

Well I have a Silver car and here are my thoughts on the only two of these products I have used.

Klasse: This stuff is kind of tricky to apply in my opinion because it is hard to see on a light car. However once applied it does last forever. Just one coat of AIO and SG lasting 1 year is not at all uncommon. good stuff for a daily driver but it smells really disgusting and I don't care for it much.

Souveran: My favorite wax. People will say it is not very durable. My cars are not garaged and I can honestly say that one coat of Souveran usually lasts no more than 2 months. However during those 2 months the shine and depth is just plain incredible. This is the only wax I will use on my Porsche. Words cannot describe how great this wax is. It will flat out amaze you compared to all other caranubas. The Souveran just wipes on and wipes right off easily. It is great!

As for Zaino I've heard 85% good comments about it and would really like to try some but don't feel like dishing out the money for take a chance on somthing I've never used before. Plus I don't have a garage so putting on multiple coats (different steps) of a product is kind of hard to do. I have seen some great pictures of it's results though, very high gloss shine from what I have seen. Maybe I will get to try some one day.

Welcome to the forum....

For your answer they are all pretty easy to apply. Prepartion is the key.

I think I prefer Z on silver metallic colors but others like Klasse.

Kinda like do you like coke or pepsi...I prefer coke!!!

Can't speak for the others, but as far as Klasse is concerned:

It's very easy to apply (just use *sparingly*).

It's relatively cheap (get in on that group buy - you'll have enough Klasse for 2 years, at $40, if you throw in a couple of MF towels).

It's incredibly durable - I've only had it on for a few months, but in the cruddiest of weather imagineable - and it's protecting the paint just fine.

Can't remark to the smell - you're only supposed to use a nickel sized dab on your applicator (which, I got MF covered sponges which worked well, but I think I prefer foam now) - so I didn't actually smell anything.

I'd definitely give it the :up - just remember - *sparingly*

Metallic Silver....Zaino is probably going to give it the best shine. Silver is a difficult color to work with, but Zaino's high reflectivity makes it stand out. Very easy to use...

I will only comment on Klasse since I use it so often.

All In One - it is quite hard to find a product that will be so easy to apply and remove. To remove, which is done seconds after applying, all you need is one simple light wipe and it is 100% removed, really really nice.

Glaze - If you apply it correctly (very very thin) it is about as hard to remove as a common wax. If you apply it thick it will take a little arm work to remove. Once you get the hang of putting the Glaze on thin you will like it, if you are going to apply it thick you'll hate it.

Backstory:
I was going through old invoices and saw the one where I ordered BFWD. This was back at the end of January. It says:
"Blackfire Wet Diamond with Polycharger" on the invoice.

I dont see anywhere on my bottle that I have the polycharger sign like the bottles do now.

My question is do I actually have the newer formula or did I get the older formula?

Thank you for any input

Jon

Jon,

I am sure your bottle is polycharged. The ?Boosted by Polycharger? sticker is a separate sticker from our label. It may have come off. We sold the last 32 oz. bottle of "non-polycharged" Wet Diamond at the end of June 2008. There was a short period when both were sold as we closed out the older Wet Diamond, the last few weeks of June 2008. It looks like you purchased yours on Jan. 27, 2010. If you have any questions, give me a call or drop me a line.
