Is Menzerna PO106FF really worth the cash???

I tried it yesterday for the first time thanks to a trade with flatstick. And WOW the stuff is amazing. I used it side by side with Blackfire Finishing Polish and I could definately tell a difference in clarity and it had a nice squeeky clean finish. I would only use it for special details as it just gives an extra pop to the finish - while FPII and Blackfire Finishing Polish yields just slightly different results.

Btw I just recived a 32oz of PO106FF :) And I am waiting for the new PO106FA polish...

What is the 106fa polish?

I LOVE the 106FF and think it is well worth the 50 bucks. :2thumbs: I like it with both ROB and Rotary. That and ZPC are my two favorites right now. And 3M PI III for heavy compounding. :buffing:

LOL... Waxes don't exhist in the world of PO106FF.

Seriously though. The use of a finishing polish as fine as PO106FF is like using a glaze without the use of OILs.

I got mine first bottle of Po016FF this Monday. Did some tests on a scrap hood.

I took a 1500grit sand paper and did 1/10 of the hood and polished with PO106FF, small wool pad and rotary. Swiiisch! No marks after the 1500 grit and with a nice surface(nice for have beeing polished with a wool pad) after that I hit it with Menzernas polishing pad and PO106FF, worked it in @900rpm and then climbed up to 1900rpm(no preassure) until it broke down. Wiped it off with a MF-towel and it came out flawless.

I was very impressed. I know that PO85RD3.02(Intensive for SRC) would take this but not PO106FF.

And remember, little polish goes loooong way!

PO016FA is a improved version of the PO106FF(less dust during application).

Thanks guys.... I ended up ordering a 16oz of the Blackfire equivalent. Cant wait to try it out, this Sat on a black MB S430 will be the test. :waxing:

35th, whatever happened on your test vehicle? Is there another thread I couldn't find or did you end up not using it?

hmm...when is this stuff suppose to come out?

Where can I buy or get more on Menzerna PO85RD3.02 ?

Did one car one day that had really bad orange peel, which had to be wetsanded. Once sanded, 106FF and 85RD was used. It looked like a mirror when done. Final buffing, I went down to a finish pad with the 85RD. Holy crap was it glossy. Love the Menzerna line. Even though this polish was really made for Cerami-Clear type hard finishes, we all found out how well it works with normal clear coats.

I have maybe a few 32 oz bottles left of 85RD and cannot get it anymore seeing Menzerna USA does not import it. Must have been the deal they did licensing it to Blackfire.

Can't imagine what case lots now go for!

Regards,

Deanski
