Is Detail City's clock off?

I can't seem to set the time properly. I go into the DC control panel and then edit options and select Eastern time (GMT - 5) but the clock will not set to this. The clock at the bottom of the page says GMT-4 and won't adjust for GMT-5. As a result all my times are an hour off. Whats going on?

I have the same problem, I just remember that it's off by an hour (just like the VCR, the answering machine, the microwave... it'll catch up in Oct. :lmfao )

Do you have DST corrections "on" or "off"?

Well there are three options for that. Automatically detect DST, DST always on, and DST always off. I can't get the right time with either.

I select eastern time (GMT-5) and save changes but the clock at the bottom of the page says all times are GMT -4. It only does this when I select eastern time. If I select another time zone the clock at the bottom of the page will adjust to that time zone. It seems that it won't accept eastern time. :dunno

Here in AZ, we don't have DST so I often have a problem with that, I usually end up just playing with it & selecting a time zone that works for me. Try one zone on either side of Eastern & play with the DST adjustments.
Good luck!

Anthony if you want the times to show up correctly your time has to equal GMT-3 hrs (if your on the east coast, presuming you are) . So set it to either GMT-4 with DST always on or set it to GMT -3 with DST always off

Don't know why, but that will get DC's time in sync with your time.

Yeah that did it. Thanks :bigups Wonder why Eastern time (GMT-5) doesn't work?

I have also encountered problems like this. i just played with the zones and got it to match.

yes i dont know why but i can never get the times right on any forum. there are always a bit off. so just play with the settings untill you get your time. shouldnt take to long.

The time is not correct!
It is 7:00 PM here.
Check the posting time.
DST or time zone changes don't make 15 minute differences.
