I always do the entire vehicle before buffing off when using a pure wax. The drier #26 is the easier it will come off.
Ok, I tried that this weekend. I let it dry for about 30-45 minutes. I felt it with my finger, and it was dry and dusty. It was incredibly hard to remove with a MF towel. I buffed like crazy to remove it. When I took the car out yesterday, I noticed the haze is still there (although it is greatly reduced) and there are little spots where it didn't buff totally off (the lighting in my garage isn't the best. I need to get a talll worklight). I'll see if I can QD this haze off. If not, I think I'm giving up on Meguiars for paint protection. I like most of their products, but I've yet to be really satisfied with a protectant. I've tried cleaner/wax, Gold Class, MPPP, and #26. The Gold Class brings an awesome shine out on my wifes car. I put a coat on and then a coat a week later. Two weeks after the second coat, and the paint was squeaking when I washed it. It sure doesn't last... So I put some MPPP on this week and it doesn't have nearly the look it got from GC. It just looks clean but that's it. However, hopefully it will last longer.
I guess now I'll look into either Zaino or Klasse. I like that Klasse has some light cleaners in the AIO so if there are any water spots or anything I miss (as I said, my garage doesn't have incredible lighting, just some overhead bulbs) they will get cleaned off. I think Zaino will give me more of the depth (my car is dark red) I want (more than Klasse anyway) and it is made in the USA. Originally Blackfire sounded great, but not so much anymore. I guess I'm leaning towards Zaino. It'll be a month or so before I do that. In the mean time, I'll see if I can get the hang of the #26. I like the look of it. It's very deep. The haze is only there with the light at certain angles. Oh well...
