Is Clearkote Quick Shine Worth it?

All I have to say in this thread is this.

Quick shine is the best QD i have used in a very long time.

It works, Its Safe, I like it, I use it.

My thoughts

:)

Well now my curiosity is peaked. Please ask Everett why the container of Quick Shine has the warning, "If Swallowed Do Not Induce Vomiting" if the product contains no petrolleum distillates. I will be very interested to hear the answer.

My bottle of Auto Magic Magic Mist also warns not to induce vomiting, but does NOT contain PDs (MSDS is right on the bottle). It does, however, contain isopropyl alcohol.

I also checked my bottle of EO Wipe & Shine - no explicit instructions to not induce vomiting, but it says contact physician. I didn't know this before, but it says, "Contains Petroleum Distillates"!

Scott or NYD, is Quick Shine safe to use on a freshly painted car?

Thanks

Since it doesn't contain any silicones or seal the paint, it should be fine. You might want to drop an e-mail to Clearkote just to be on the safe side.

Here is your answer, straight from Mr. Glass himself-the warning is there simply to cover his a$$. There are no harmful ingredients and in fact, you could ingest it with no ill effects. He just puts that warning on all his products for liability reasons.

Sorry, 4DSC-but that was a legitimate question that deserved an answer...and I didn't see the point in starting a new thread.

Well that's interesting information. I wonder how many other products also say this just for the heck of it too. Kind of throws a monkey wrench in my thread trying to link label warnings to QD ingredients.

And yeah, I know it definitely deserved an answer. The post was more directed towards 94 del sol, but once a question is posed, what are we to do except answer it right? Oh well.... :)

Do you find it economical to use as a Pro, I know your a big Meguiars fan and know that you could get something like FI or FD by gallons, cheaper than QS.

Back to the original question. No ... it's not worth it. It's pretty good, but it's not worth twice the price of FI.

Well, maybe not for you, but it is for me. Haven't used #34 since I started using QS. It also seems to take less product to do the same job, so gallons last a bit longer. Not twice as long though.
