Is clay "clay?"

Yep, it's all protected by a patent or set of patents and a Japanese company basically has a monopoly on the market.

Who has patents, Silly Putty, Play Dough or Clay Aiken, cause if it's Clay Aiken, I don't think he's Japanese but there may still be a patent pending.

Detailing clay is a polymer plastic clay, much like Blu Tac, but it contains abrasives which abrade (naturally  ) the surface contaminants, which then stick to the clay.

Without the abrasives you wouldn't have detailing clay, just hobby clay.

i don;t think y'all no too much about clay. We got plenty here in lower Alabama, and there's more in Mississippi Georgia and florida to.

I can send you some if you want to rub it on yuor paint, but i think all it'll do is stain and scratch it up.

For experts i don't see why you want to use something we used in 3d grade to make a bowl with to rub on your paint.

Heck, that;d be like me trying to put 30-30 shells in my 357. Yeah, they are both shells, but they ain't the same shell.

If it's a case of trying to save a few bux, cut back on a few beers and you'll have plenty of cash.

We don;t claim that boy as being from Alabama. We think he's more like a sissy from Tennessee. Heck, he don;t even like football and I don't think he knows who Bear Bryant is.

But he's sure welcome bring a 4 wheeler and slide around in our red clay while drinking cold Buds and shooting the empty cans with our pistols.

Coarse he'd probalby miss.
