Is anoyone using M205?

I like M205 a lot, but there are other nice options that compete well with it. On the other hand, M105 is in a class of its own. I use M205 a lot, but I also keep FPII on hand for finishing softer paints, and SIP will always be a favorite of mine.

My thoughts exactly. 205's a great polish, at least that's been my experience, I've had nothing but excellent results with it.

I agree with you here. M105 is a spectacular product. 205 on the other hand, is less than spectacular in that competitive field of fine polishes.
 
I follow use of M105 with M205 every time. I should mention that I use M105 A LOT! I absolutely love that combo. There are some paints that are left hazy or less than perfect with M105 and I've found M205 to clean the finish up perfectly. I'm using both with my circular.
 
Havent had any major problems using both m105 & the m205 since Jan09.

But I have not came across those soft/sticky clears in 2009 till now. Lucky me LOL
 
As far as I know, it works great as a combo polishing duo. I haven't had any problems and alot of folks call me to say it's does wonder's for them this great product line from Meguiar's.
 
You won't find an easier polish to work with than M205. It works really fast (post correction) and wipes off effortlessly. I've found that it might not always produce the best gloss on some paints, but it's what I reach for 1st every time regardless.
 
I really like M205 as a compliment to M105 or Meguiars Ult Compound, but on its own as a light polish, it's competitive in its market. As said, there are many good light polishes on the market so it's harder for M205 to stand out.

I used M205 yesterday after both M105 and Ult Comp and was happy with the results. M205 spreads nicely, has a good work time, dusts very little, and wipes off clean. I really can't ask more of a light polish.

Good point. It is, in fact, designed to be a light polish, not a heavy (or even medium) cut compound. It does a very good job of what it's designed to do.
 
I bought 205 a while back and I as well have had it just sitting. My reasoning is because I am scared that it has oils in it that will mask holograms. Thats the only thing that scares me about it. After reading this thread I guess I am wrong and should start using it more.
 
Knowing that I am, sometimes, leaving behind some faint holograms with M105 I always do an alcohol wipedown after using M205. I've never had that stuff fail to leave a stunning finish. I'm using it with a black pad most often with a rotary. Speed doesn't exceed 1300 and I'll work it much longer than 105.

M205 has replaced Menz 106FF as my favorite final polish.

Definitely fire up the 205... you won't be sorry.
