I use a Bissell Little Green Machine on my interior stains (even on the headliner). But for the nasty stains I still resort to a carpet cleaner, brush and a strong Shop Vac. I mix up a bottle of the Oxy Paste stuff and water and that has been sufficient for my tuff interior stains. Except when the dog has accidents in the Explorer then I break out the pet cleaner with odor removers in it (called Out I think).
Is a 6 1/2 horsepower shop vac strong enough?

Whenever you see a HP rating that says "peak" or "developed" that means that it is not truly whatever HP they claim. A good example is contractor style tablesaws, Craftsman to be specific. They claim maximum developed horse power of 5.5 to 6 HP, meaning when the saw is fully at speed, the power at the blade should be equal to the HP rating advertised. The actual motor however, is only 2.5 - 3 HP.
