Is 303 worth the cash?

I've been a 303 user for probably about 2 years now and I like it.
However, seeing that armor all is water based now I was thinking of maybe holding off on the 303. I would use it, but only for my tonneau cover and my leather.

Here be my question folks: I can get a 32 oz of armor all for about $6.00. 303 costs me about $24.00 for the same oz. Is 303 really worth spending almost triple the money for???? What makes it so expensive? The UV ingredients?

I can't say what makes it so expensive, but I can say I've used it and really liked it alot, both the cleaner and protectant. However, once the protectant was gone, I tried Poorboys Natural Look and I love the stuff! I use it on my tonneau cover too and it's holding up great even after washing. Needless to say, I've made the switch.

I have a 32oz 303 that I've used maybe 1 oz of that has just been sitting...if you want to save a few bucks I'd be willing to sell it to you. Send me a PM if you want...

I just traded away the last of my 303 for some more PB Natural Look. I like the PB product better, and it's less expensive too.

I have pretty much stopped using 303 protectant on my car. However, I use ALL the 303 products on my boat and use the spot cleaner on any carpet. I love their stuff on marine applications that get tons of sun and weather.

Hey marj, just curious, why do you like NL better? I'm not sure which one I prefer of the two so thats why i'm curious to hear your reasoning.

The NL has just a bit more sheen than 303, but not so much as to be considered shiny. NL smells MUCH better, and it also has a little bit of cleaners built in.

Give Poorboys Natural Look a try. Much cheaper and in my opinion it is almost comparable.

Yes, you're right to a point.
32 oz of natural look costs $15.00, but add $7.00 for shipping.
Only $2.00 less in the end.

This could probably bring up another topic in itself about
vendors like Steve somehow getting products more local in the United States so people wouldn't have to pay shipping charges.

Unfortunately I doubt there's enough demand for local shops to sell boutique/enthusiast products even with the impressive number of members spread across the various detailing boards :( However, doesn't mean that's impossible: I believe about 30 years or so ago Meguiars was virtually a pro/enthusiast brand and look what happened since. :D

In the meantime, hopefully we can see more sales or promos online to help ease the sting of the shipping charges.

Can anyone check out what kind of UV protection AA provides? I know 303 is suppose to have a lot of UV protection.

That in itself would probably make it worth it.

Very true! However, anyone besides me notice that all the best Meguiars products are not available in stores? I mean #81, 82, and 83. Those are most people's favorite Meguiars products but I have never seen them sold in a store (at least not anywhere near where I live). Many other products that people like from them are also not avaiable in stores such as Final Detail/Last Touch, just to name one other...

They are availible in stores, just only in auto paint and body supply stores. Fortunately I have a decent one near me just not great prices  I found out about them by checking the yellow pages.
