I clayed my car for the first time on Saturday, jeepers creepers, that stuff works like a charm. I made ALOT of micro swirl marks, I folded the clay over and over again, I used a WHOLE bottle of QD and was not able to do the whole car, I had to make my own lube to finish but I got through the ordeal (my car is WIDE and LONG). Why I got the micro swirls? I don't know, I'm not doing something correct.



Anyhow, on to the good news... after the clay I used just a single coat of Blitz wax and my car looked like I spent 6-8 hours with a polish and Klasse. I can just picture what another application of clay, then a non-abrasive polish and a few different waxes layered on my car will do for the shine.



............... I am putting Klasse on the shelf for now, I get a look that is as good, or a little better with 1/10th of the time. I am still in shock by how nice my car came out with so little effort and so little product. My car is always covered so even the wax itself will probaly last me three weeks although I will be out there every single weekend like I am now.



Just picture this ............. 8 coats of Meguiars glaze and multiple different waxes, my car will have so much wax you'll be able to stick a wick in it and light it up. I am going to strip it for next weeks "all carnauba" adventure :)

I love a good carnauba. Meguiar's "polishes," or glazes actually, are very nice and can make a car look oily and wet! A good carnauba only adds to the beuty.

Just remember, Klasse is good for more than making your car shine. Its main purpose is to be a sealant that protects your car against UV rays. Carnuba can only do so much. If taking care of your car didn't require effort then everybody would do it and we detailers would be out of a job. :)
 
Oh wow, I never knew you were a fire fighter in MA. Maybe some time I'll test your response time by lighting myself on fire .......... thats what you want isn't it!



Jngrbrdman - Carnauba is basically all I need to tell you the truth. My car is always covered and when it's not (friday through sunday morning) I am either waxing it or cleaning it. Sometimes I drive it too.



Chuck Motor - I want that oily and wet look :-) My brother used to always tell me how he never thought a brand new car could look much better (when I had my Saturn). He said the paint looked soft and wet enough to drip off.



This weekend, it is dawn, clay then glaze a whole bunch of times followed by Meguiars Hi-Tech yellow wax.

The long-lasting protection of the Klasse will get it off your shelf again when, and if, you have kids! Trust me. ;)
 
ahhh kids, I wouldn't have them because I don't have enough money as it is and I would rather have my toys than kids right now so I'll toss the kids on the shelf faster than the car wax. I can't afford a chick either so I'm in no danger of accidentally having kids.

Then load on those glazes! I've produced some dripping, oily finishes using #7, but I am anxious to try out the Hand Glaze from the body shop line. According to Scottwax (whose opinion I really trust!) the Hand Glaze is not only easier to use, but it lasts longer and is even more oily and wet looking! I will probably try it sometime after I run out of #7.
 
I finally figured out how to join, so now becoming a member, glad to be here! I search ahead to partcipating and have read a great deal so far, so hello!

Sooo anyways, sufficient info about me, see you all-around and hello yet again haha.

BTW, what can I do to make myself have a cool title like some people here have? I just got a new phone, so it would be very helpful for me. Amazing how even a trainer needs so many electronics now!
